Monday June 1 - Animation: The Language of Animators: Designing Characters to Propel a Narrative Forward
Disney and Blue Sky veteran Gregg Azzopardi guides participants through the basics of constructing appealing characters for animated films. This basic exercise will help participants focus on developing a shape language used in every major studio to design characters for films and television.
Wednesday, June 3 - Fashion Illustration: Express Yourself: Rapid Response Fashion Illustration
In response to fashion images, participants will learn how to capture shape and form by creating fast drawings used in fashion design development.
Monday, June 8 - Painting: Master of Illusion: The Anamorphic Apple
This workshop will introduce a method for creating the appearance of 3-Dimensional space on a 2-Dimensional surface. Using colored pencils and a little bit of math, participants will learn how to draw an apple so that the depicted form appears to occupy space.
Wednesday, June 10 - Illustration: Illustrating Repeat Patterns by Hand
Learn how to illustrate your own hand-drawn repeat patterns without a computer! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of repeat patterns and the ways your patterns can be used, from wallpaper to stationery to fabric, the possibilities are endless.
